Unique Elements to an Amazing Event

What is interesting about weddings is that while every event has similar aspects and/or traditions, there are unique elements and something very special about each and every one. For Claire and Breide, they enlisted the professional help of Suzanne Duffy to organize their special day, held at the Lodge at Torrey Pines. The outcome was nothing short of superb! The tables could not have been adorned more beautifully, and there were even personalized candles for each guest to take home as keepsakes.

Important elements that happen at most weddings that can also show a couple's individuality include the first dance and the cake. These are especially noteworthy since it gives the guests a closer look into the couple's personality, as their taste in food and music takes focus. The first dance can also be an opportunity for the couple to show their guests something special about their relationship. Claire and Breide chose 828 Studios as the photography team to capture all of these special moments.

We at Republilc of Music were thrilled and honored to be chosen as the musical entertainment for Claire and Breide's magical day. From start to finish, we were 'instrumental' in helping entertain the guests of the bride and groom. The cocktail hour was accompanied with an elegant jazz trio that offered music to aid in creating a classy yet fun atmosphere. After cocktail hour, our Republic of Music horn players (trumpet, saxophone, and trombone) performed an arrangement of "When the Saints Go Marching In", second line style, so that the guests knew to march behind them into the dining area, in a Mardi Gras fashion. The couple chose a 10-piece configuration to perform live as they danced for the first time as husband and wife, and to keep their guests feet moving and grooving to classic and contemporary hits the entire night.
